Forest Green Dress

I have been completely remiss in posting my outfit posts on here lately but when I got dressed this morning I couldn't wait to take some photographs of my outfit, so here they are!

I am wearing a new green dress from +Simply Be which is actually sleeveless but the weather is far too cold for that, hence the black cardigan (South from +Very.co.uk )!  My two bird necks I bought from Primark yesterday and the large statement necklace I managed to find in a charity shop but was originally from Per Una at Marks & Spencers.

Instagram!

Sooooo, I have a new toy.  After changing my phone contract a few weeks ago I finally have joined the cult of Instagram.  If you want to follow me by the way, you can find me at http://instagram.com/viclandfrankly

Here are a few of the photos that I have been posting so far.  Beware, heavy on the selfie!!

Not a bad start for my first month!  How adorable is my little dog though?  She absolutely hates that jumper though so she has only worn it for the photograph!

My New Favourite Thing

I thought that I would quickly share my outfit which I have worn to work today.  You have seen the fox print dress before (which can be found at +Very.co.uk ) but what I really wanted to show you was my new necklace which I found from Etsy.

I love all things that are from Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz.  This is the first of my necklaces that I have bought from Etsy recently, I will show you my Wizard of Oz necklace in another post.

Here is a close up of the necklace

If you want one for yourself, you can find it here at Etsy

What have you been buying recently?

Prancing round the Park

I decided to have a wander around the park today so thought I’d share a quick outfit of the day and a few photographs that I took whilst walking.

The park was practically empty.  I love it on days like that; I like to pretend that I am walking around my own private garden.

One more photograph for you, I went into my local Barnardos and found this beauty sitting on the shelf, waiting for me to buy it and take it home.  Would have been rude not too.

What did you get up to today?

Sunday Style

I went out for a lovely meal yesterday with family so thought I would share my outfit and also my new hair, newly coloured to a much darker shade than I had anticipated, but I love it!

You have seen this dress before on the blog, but I love it so much, it’s here again.

I also had to show you this photograph of my mum.  She never believes me when I tell her how amazing she looks.  She is 73 believe it or not.   I can only hope I look as good as she does at her age.

What have you been doing this weekend?

Girl’s Night

Just wanted to share the outfit I wore last night.

Myself and my two best friends had planned a catch up with involved first much gossip, wine and 90’s music at my friend’s house to get us in the mood and then off out into town for a few drinks and a dance.

Alas due to the pulled muscle in my leg I didn’t get to do much dancing, but there was a lot of laughter, gossip and much needed time with two of my favourite people.

I wore my black Hush Puppy shoes, purple tights from Evans and a geometric print dress from South at +Very.co.uk .

After some persuading from my friends, I decided to ditch the little black shrug I had been wearing and went out with bare arms, so was feeling very brave as my arms are a part of my body I don’t like.

I had a fab time though and absolutely loved the dress.   Here’s the link to the dress if you fancy one yourself South Shirt Dress  I really want a mustard colour cardigan to go with it now, but need to be good on the spending front for the moment!

What did you get up to last night?

Work Wear

I am a firm believer of not keeping clothes tucked away in your wardrobe “for best”.  What’s the point of that?  If you love an outfit, wear it and enjoy it!

I tend to buy daytime clothing that I can wear equally well at work, at weekend, or wherever I wish to.  I don’t see the point in having a dull work wardrobe, I want to enjoy my clothing every day, not just at the weekend.

I thought that I would share with you some of my recent outfits of the day which I have worn to work.  Apologies for the bathroom shots, but it’s the only mirror in the building.

I think that you can tell the days that I haven't really woken up yet!

What do you wear to work?

Beautiful South

I have been so engulfed in the 30 Day Challenge lately that I am trying madly to fit some outfit posts in with everything else I have to do.

I wore this outfit on Sunday, just two photographs unfortunately as they were taken just before I went out for a meal with the family.

I wore a beautiful black top with a Bow Lace Jumper from South at +Very.co.uk - click the link for better photos of it and also Tile Print Peg Trousers, again from South at +Very.co.uk , £22 and £25 respectively.

The red cardigan you have seen before, I think it was £7.00 from Primark.  My lovely lovely bag is from last season at +Next and the shoes are from I don't know where, old but I love them!

Lady in Black

I haven’t worn an all black outfit in absolutely ages.  In fact I have consciously been shying away from wearing black, after wearing it constantly for so long.  I fell out of love with it.

Today though I was riffling through my wardrobe looking for something cool to wear to the office when I came across a black dress that had escaped the great purge of January 2013.  Rather than throw it into the donations bag that I am currently collating, I decided to try it on.

My love of black was reignited.

It made me remember that black can look great.  It doesn’t have to be depressing and used as a way to cover up and hide yourself.  This dress certainly doesn’t cover up much of anything on me being sleeveless and with the low neckline!

I had forgotten the power of a little black dress.

It is probably a little too revealing in the chest area for the office and indeed when I tried it on my first thought was “Vicky, your breasts look too big in this dress”.  Then I remembered that my breasts are not going to shrink, they are what they are.  It’s a boiling hot day and I want something cool to wear so I’m wearing it.  Screw it.

So here are a few photographs of me in the dress and I feel great in it, fat arms out and all.

The dress is an old collection from So Fabulous at +Very.co.uk

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine!

A Sunny OOTD

A second post for today.

I am currently enjoying a relaxing week off work.  I haven't been wearing anything of note until today when I a quick trip to the shops was in order.

My dress and sunglasses (my favourites, ever) were both bought from +Dorothy Perkins last year.  The dress is comfortable and cool and I have just added a little oatmeal shrug in case of any sneaky cold breeze.

I look moody on this, but I'm not, promise!

Favourite sunglasses ever

Sunshine!!!!!!!
What are you getting up to this week?
