Ethnic Print Jersey Dress

Morning all!

I was recently contacted by the lovely Stef of +Bonmarche and asked if I would like to review something from their new in range.  With an eye on the approaching Summer I chose the Ethnic Print Tab Front Jersey Dress which is priced at £29.50.

I really love the print on this dress and the colour of black, pink and cream works well.  The dress is comfortable to wear and bang on with sizing.

I have gone quite simply with the styling of a statement necklace and some sandals from +Dorothy Perkins (last season).  I am looking forward to trying out different looks with the dress too, such as toughing up the look with a leather jacket and ankle boots or really going out there with lots of accessories.

I can see this dress being a great go to for the upcoming Spring/Summer as it can easily be dressed up for the evening or thrown on for a wander around the park in the afternoon (yes I get dressed up for the park too).

Check out the New In section as they have some great pieces for the Summer.

BonMarche Lace Print Dress

Today on the blog I have for you an outfit that I wore to work yesterday.

Bonmarche kindly allowed me to chose something from their New in range and I immediately spotted the Lace Print Dress by David Emanuel.  I was immediately drawn to the beautiful lace pattern on the jersey fabric and thought it would be an ideal dress for work.

It would also work well for going out for a meal in the evening but you know me, I am never knowingly under dress for anything!

I wore the dress yesterday at work with my trusty black cardigan from South  at +Very.co.uk together with my new red shoes from +Evans  and a gorgeous statement necklace that I bought on sale from +Dorothy Perkins

If you decide to buy this dress I would advise to size down as I bought my usual size and it was a little roomier than I would normally wear.  At work with a cardigan though it worked just fine and I was comfortable all day.

Matching the Sky

I was recently contacted by Bon Marche and asked if I would like to review something from their “New In” section.   Having recently done a post on Bon Marche, I knew that they had some really nice pieces in this season and so immediately went on to their site to take another look.

I was quickly drawn to the David Emanuel Border Print Sleeveless Jersey Tunic.  Normally I am not a lover of tunics; is it a top, is it a dress, how do I wear it etc etc but I loved the colour and print so much that I had to give it a try.

I originally tried out the tunic with just my So Fabulous +Very.co.uk leggings on it’s own, but as you can see, that didn’t work on my body shape and made me look like a box.  I’m sure on ladies with a smaller bustline it would look completely different.

Undeterred I decided to add a wide belt which brought me in a little and I think really finished off the outfit.  I loved the result!

You can find the tunic in the new in section of Bon Marche and is currently priced at £18.00.

Lovely Dresses from Bon Marche?

I’ll make a confession.   I have always associated Bon Marche as being somewhere for the older generation to shop in.  It isn’t somewhere I have ever bought anything in for about 20 years and I think that the last time I was in a Bon Marche shop was 15 years ago.

I recently saw Bon Marche on Twitter and out of curiosity I decided to have a look at what they were currently doing with their clothing ranges.  Now, whilst I think that a lot of their range is still edged towards the older category, no high heels for example, there are now mixed in a lot of items that I would buy myself.

Bon Marche feature a lot of colour and a large variety of prints, both of which are brilliant for the summer months.  With stripes, Aztec and floral prints to chose from, there are many dresses that are right on trend.

Given that I am a dress girl at heart I have decided to feature my four favourite dresses here as an example of what you can now buy.  The great thing is that with their reasonable pricing structure, I can probably afford to buy one or more sooner than I would with other more expensive brands.

I promise, this isn’t a sponsored post by the way, I was so pleasantly surprised with what they have available, I wanted to blog about it!
